Magnetic destoner is used to differentiate metal pieces, soil and other impurities from the pulses and grains. 3. Drawer magnet:

This type of ferrous metal removal unit can be fitted simply in existing pipeline or outlet of various equipment like pulverizer, blenders, & classifier or any other outlet location. In standard type, each unit comprises two permanent magnetic grids mounted one above the other. A system with multiple grids is available for special application. The grids are easily removable for cleaning. The drawer magnet is fitted with flanges at an outlet. As standard, the magnetic rods consisting hard ferrite ceramic magnets or high-intensity rare earth magnet is fitted in a sturdy steel housing.

4. Half hump magnet:

Magnetic humps are used where the flow of material is vertical. The material falling strikes directly on the first magnet changes direction and falls over the second magnet, ensuring clean outflow of material. The Magnets are of hinged type and can be easily opened for periodic cleaning. Hump magnets are used to separate ferrous contamination such as nuts, bolts, wires from grains and flour mill.

The working principle is the same, only that the half-hump magnet directs the material flow over the single high strength permanent magnet and breaks up aggregated material to dislodge and capture embedded metal contaminants.
