Numerous industries are using Eddy Current Separator machines for optimum non-ferrous metal recoveries.
Recycling has now been recognized as a big challenge, reinforced by legislation, and will be pushed ahead by environmental awareness.
The effective recovery of non-ferrous metals is important for every recycling system. Jaykrishna Magnetics Pvt. Ltd. is a leading eddy current separator manufacturer and with its advanced technology has optimally met this requirement.
It is no coincidence that various industries across the world are convinced by our highly effective and durable machinery and choose us for their separation needs.
Eddy Current Separation methods follow various processing stages to separate aluminium from wood chips. For example crushing, classification, and magnetic separation.
Scroll down to the blog, where we describe the complete process to applications of eddy current separators that meet the demands of separation in the wood industry.
Eddy current separation method is used for separating non-ferrous metals from nonmetallic components. The separation process is based on the use of a magnetic rotor.
Material is fed onto the conveyor belt of the eddy current separator, which carries it across the magnetic rotor where separation takes place.
Eddy current is generated that cause a magnetic field inside the material and repels the material away from the conveyor.
At the same time other materials drop off at the end of the conveyor, and the non-ferrous metals are moved forward to the splitter for separation.
How can Eddy Current Separator affect nonmagnetic metals like aluminum?
How magnets in Eddy Current Separator can be used to repel rather than attract?
Here is how,
The magnetic rotor is a series of permanent rare earth magnets mounted on a support plate attached to a shaft. It is surrounded by a nonmetallic shell that supports the conveyor belt which allows the rotor to spin unaided at a much higher speed than the nonmetallic shell and belt.
When aluminium particles pass over the separator, the magnets inside the surface rotate further the aluminium at high speed. The speed forms an electrical current efficient for separating aluminium from the wood chips, ensuring the segregation of waste and metal.
The magnetic rotor is the heart of the separation system.
Magnets used in rotors are:
Ferrite Magnet – It is suitable for separating different types of nonferrous metals, such as aluminum, plastics in garbage, brass, lead, and other mixed metals.
Rare Earth Magnet – With a frequency rotor of 22 electrodes, the arch structure can be used for municipal waste sorting and recycling non-ferrous metals.
With a frequency rotor of 16 electrodes, the prototype structure is suitable for separating non-ferrous metals from large-flow materials, such as solid waste, and non-ferrous metals in automobile waste recycling.
Eddy current separator can be used to remove non-ferrous metals in various industries, mainly including:
